Movies revisited

A shuttle service located adjacent to the below building brought us to Universal Studios and City Walk. The traffic controller at the shuttle stop built our anticipation on what awaits.

The first attraction was the House of Horrors. I had never thought a Haunted House could be so scary. The sound effects, set-up and live performers set my senses tingling.

Live music provided by Sting Jazz Band. Feliz Navida~ On the PA system, more christmas music such as OSTs- The Grinch,  Love Actually.

City Walk on the way back to the shuttle. The attractions were a pleasant revisit to the movies such as Jurassic Park, Shrek and others.

The Universal City Station has pillars tiled with California history. "Many residents defined themselves as 'Califonnios'. This was not meant to deny their Mexican Heritage, but to assert their love for their most beloved California."

Oh ya, the traffic controller mentioned a Transformers attraction in 2010 or 2011. Hopefully, i'l have a chance to come back here in the future.

Famous Walk

From Cecil on Main Street to 7th Street/Metro Center, there are many old architectural buildings.

After a short encounter of taking the wrong (Purple towards Wilshire) metroline we were back on track (Red towards North Hollywood) and at Hollywood/Vine. Below is the first recognisable star. Don't really know who he is other than he was probably a pianist.

Wall painting. The beginning of the walk was characterised by many tattoos, souvenier, costumes and smokes.

I caught Gene Simmons looking for a sip of coffee.

When nighttime came, family decided to hail a cab and head back to cecil. We did not manage to walk the whole walk but i definitely managed to spot some of my favourites.

"Happy-est"place on Earth

The Disney-visited Mexican couple at breakfast offered to drive us to Disneyland from our hotel. Instead of the main entrance, he dropped us off at the Disneyland Downtown. Below is a picture taken at the Disney merchandise shop.

"I'm late! i'm late!", said the white rabbit of Alice in Wonderland. Time was really tight because there was many colourful happy childhood memories to relive, and many more queues to Q; for rides as well as for snacks. It was a balmy day and tourists were in full force.

Toontown with its bright colours and nonsensical buildings would have to be my favourite. Below are 2  pictures of children role-playing.

Silly me did not bring along an extra battery pack and so after half a day, my camera was rested and below is a pic taken from far han during the Fireworks Festival using the Canon. Despite shivering in the cold, the beginning of blisters at the feet; I reveled in the Miracle of Disney.

I whipped out my camera before leaving.

Merry Christmas!

"Merry Christmas, Welcome to LA!"

Morning Breakfast at Changi Airport Terminal 3 MacDonalds, with many leetle chewren scampering around.

In Transit at Narita Airport.

Window Seat 60G. Seated here, I enjoyed an intimate view of puffy clouds across the Atlantic.

LA airport to Anaheim. The freelance driver was disappointed that the vandalism was made using the tunnel debris, and not spraypaint. Below's message was a breath of fresh air compared to other messages  involving another type of 4-letter word.

Walking around aimlessly on the rain-washed streets. We were puzzled that bus after bus passed our bus stop, without stopping. The anaheim resort bus was confused with its many different routes, it is better to walk.

It was raining and it was late (4pm, but the sky was painted in red and magenta) and family and I were still adapting to the cold. So we sleep early today, Disneyland tomorrow!
