Located a stone's throw away from the equally distinctive character of Hastings Street, Gastown is filled with spirit. The street lamps, the brick pavements and the buildings in general exude charm and shows how 'Old is Gold' (this quoted from nick during our long drives to grand canyon)

Statue of Gassy jack below. I think he is wearing lipstick and some pink on his cheek. Gastown grew as Canada's third largest city. Maybe beginning from the day Gassy Jack stepped ashore with a barrel of whiskey and promised drinks for the millworkers.

The steam clock is a must see and we waited eagerly for one o'clock. Blowing out steam from each of 5 chimneys, the hourly chimes are infused with a tune so familiar to primary school students.

Army Navy Market on this day as well. Lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory before rushing back.
