Granville Island is not an island. More of a peninsula. We walked there and overhead is Granville Street that have passed so many times on the way downtown. But today is about the Island.

Kid's market with its colourful toys and souveniers. Handpuppets in cheery primary colours. Just outside, a team of ducks greeted us with quacks from the edge of the water.

Boats Parked away.

Accordian player. Playing familiar upbeat european-gypsy tunes making the feet feel light and heart fill with joy. The many buskers here take turns and rotate different spots. Variety ranges from bluesy guitar, folksy violin, country guitar, classical cello.

They also play inside the Granville Island Public Market. Music and Food goes well together.

A large crowd had gathered outside as we watched the amusing antics of this juggler/unicycle. Tricks weren't fantastic but how he teased his eager child volunteers was hilarious. Too bad, only managed to catch the end of the show. He attempted to remind us how happy he would be if each of us tipped him two bucks each by tipping his child volunteer two bucks as well.

All around the island were art galleries. Beautiful art pieces and especially good shelters from the cold. Below is one I don't understand. Located in the Emily Carr University of Art +Design, the piece below is about ... erm, I am not too clear what it is about.

Walking the perimeter of the island, the scenery is peaceful. Nearby, people were playing tennis. I believe after winter, there are many choices of water sports here.

Probably would come back again in Spring. So many things to do once spring arrives. Projects too.
